Our friends were heading home to Virginia today, but not before I gave them the full Central Park treatment. First stop: the Shakespeare Garden, because no proper send-off skips the many beautiful flowers and the peaceful setting. Then a walk through The Ramble and lunch at The Boat House on the Lake. Delicious!
Steve had never really spent time in the park before, and you could see it click for him — this isn’t just a lawn with some trees, it’s a whole world. And we’d only scratched the surface, maybe a quarter of it, tops.
Virginia’s lovely. But I think we ruined them a little for it today.
