The High Line is one of Manhattan’s great reinventions. A mile and a half of elevated park, built on the bones of an old New York Central Railroad spur, running from the Meatpacking District up to Hudson Yards. Rusted rails turned into rambling gardens — that’s New York for you, always finding a second act.
It’s one of my favorite walks in the city. Art around every bend, plantings that shift with the seasons, and sublime architecture on all sides. Tonight I brought my camera and played with longer exposures, letting the city blur into light and motion while the High Line itself stayed still. Some nights the city moves too fast to catch. Tonight, I just let it streak.
