May 25, 2026 – A Very Wet Morning and a Beautiful Sunset Sky from the Roof

We’d been cooped up for two rainy days and had finally hit our limit.

So we did what any reasonable New Yorkers would do — we put on our raincoats, wrestled Toffee into hers, and headed straight into it. Central Park in the rain has its own kind of charm, it turns out, even if everyone is a little soggy by the end.

The patience paid off. By evening, the rain had finally moved on and left behind the most spectacular apology of a sky — layers of color that stopped you mid-sentence. We grabbed the camera and headed up to our rooftop deck on West 79th to catch it before it faded.

Worth every wet paw print.
