April 30, 2026 – Times Square

Today, my photography class went to Times Square. Our assignment was to really think about what we were trying to capture, both foreground and background. I’m used to taking pictures in Central Park which offers scenes just begging to have their picture taken. Here it was harder, among all of the people and noise, to focus and find “the scene.”

As a Veteran, this recruiting station in the middle of Times Square has always intrigued me. I often wonder how many recruits they get.
This scene captures the enormity and energy of times square – all of the people, and constantly changing colorful ads. The boy looking to the sky could be me, I find myself staring up all the time!
I loved this group of lovely ladies getting their photo taken in their matching outfits. Perhaps they are some sort of band or dancing group?
This man looked like he was filming or broadcasting something. One of many, just doing their thing!
This was actually my first sighting of the naked Cowboy! I was able to snap him just as he leaned over to give a hug.
I thought this man had a lovely and interesting face. Just waiting for a chess partner.

“The Cursed Child”
Tiny department, tiny car
I can only guess that this group of ladies were on their way to see the muscial “SIX”. I love their flair!
