I spend a lot of time in Central Park with my dog. We love the off-leash hours from 9pm – 9am and try to take in as much of that time together as possible. The photograph that inspired this project is from Elliott Erwitt titled “USA. Central Park, New York City. 1990.”

I have many photos of my dog in Central Park. My mother-in-law says that she’s a “professional model” because she demands treats for payment after every snap. However, like the black and white photo of Erwitt’s, I wanted to ensure that I included some of the iconic NY backdrop that makes this particular photo special.
